Geezus. Too many dying of cancer especially in Western Australia.

On a personal note, not too many who worked in the iron ore industry live past 80.

Totally OT, but whatever. Last night my mate and I were down the pub, along with his 16 year old son.My mate had to go pick up his other boy, so Alex stayed with me. We got to talking about him getting a job when he goes to uni. Seems all his mates are keen to be lumpers at the local abattoir, hard yakka but the pay is good. I was stunned. Told him about a book I'd read called Fast Food Nation, where the author visits meat workers in the American prairie states. Horrifying conditions, they are mostly Latinos working for meagre wages and all have horrible injuries from the cutters and the heavy lifting involved.
Just thinking about your time as union rep, the mining companies pay good but harsh conditions in the heat and very physical at times. I'm sure you would have seen some risks taken back in the day.

Fuck of Sandgroper - Gallen is the one person ALL Queenslanders hate with a vengeance - I for one can't wait for him to hang up his boots.

However, in all fairness that's some achievement becoming the player whose played the most games for his club. He's only played for the one club, started in 2001 and has done 18 seasons. Bloody long time to play at that level.

Hi

Not usually in to football but did watch Leeds v. Liverpool on and off last night in a bar whilst chatting to a friend of mine.

Leeds put on a good show against Liverpool

IMO.

Enjoyed what I watched of the match.
When is the last time Liverpool conceded 3 goals at home ?
Anyone know ?

We were a tad unlucky with that first penalty but yeah a very proud performance I can’t honestly remember being happy despite losing.

I had to google it
It was January 2019 in a 4-3 win over Crystal Palace

Hi

A couple of questions please

Are most Premier League games played on a Saturday ?
All start at about the same time or does it vary.?

Who do Liverpool and Leeds play this week end.

If I can find a late night bar, might watch a bit.

Time to get some interests in my life.

Thanks

Not a big footy fan anymore, but can answer a couple of questions. The EPL matches are mainly played on: Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Kick off times vary but there normally after midday. Back in the good old days, before Sky took over, nearly all Football League games KO time was 3pm on a Saturday. This is still the case in the lower leagues, but the EPL KO times are chopped and changed depending on when Sky want to broadcast matches.
