And he did.
Great photo Reg. They almost got a full days play in so all was not lost. SL played well Following On showing they may put up a better show at Lords. Hopefully. I think SL have severely underperformed and have more been done over by the bowling conditions that have been brilliantly exploited by England’s seamers, especially Anderson. As a result they lost confidence and their entire game just went to shit. |

I'd almost given up on seeing much cricket but nearly got full day out of it got to meet captain cook (he will probably write on his memoirs that some northern monkey he met on the pavilion steps spurred him on to get his 10,000 test runs)
Big thanks to Jake and his mate George for putting up with me and getting me right on the steps of the pavilion Cooky en route to 10,000 runs

I tried looking up stats to see how many wickets Anderson has took outside England but couldn’t find any. My gut feeling is that he takes way more wickets in England than abroad, as the conditions, unsurprisingly, suit him.
So to me it’s difficult to predict, barring injuries, how many wickets he could end up with. Great watching him bowl though when the ball swings/seams. Unplayable. |
