Phil, the plan was to go all up and all the way not stopping until they lost. However I had a pretty rough day at work yesterday (strange but true that some of us work Sats & Sundays) and I did not realise that the Poms were playing.

Another opportunity lost where working gets in the way of the punting man.

Will put it all up on the next game though

BTW, a horse called Spirit of Boom (5/2) won in Queensland yesterday. Mirkwood and myself always wanted to shag a lady at Nook Niks bar named Boom who we obviously nicknamed Miss Boom Boom. For whatever reason (The Babysitter & Miss Rose come to mind), we never got around to it. Another opportunity lost.....

Of course, The Lurker () was waiting until we went first

She has disappeared from the scene now unfortunately.

Currently they are 1.87 on Betfair. Being an Aussie I cannot have a bet on anything related to 87 (13 less than a hundred). When the price changes I will get on.

BTW, Aussie horse Starspangledbanner goes around in about 50 mins in a race at York. A good horse which I backed at 15/1 to win last year's Caufield Guineas. Coolmore are training him now. Would love to back him but as the horse comes from Victoria he does not have much chance. Their Away record is woeful. Just look at Figgy and Fork Handles

Ahh. bugger it. Will have $20 on him for the heck of it.

there was a lot of big bets in the ring for the starspangledbanner yesterday mate but think maybe horses aren't your strong point cricket is far more gentlemanly and seems easier to pick a winner

Yep Phil. I was on again

I took my original $50 stake out and played up all the profits of $108.54 at 1.88 on Betfair

2010-05-14 02:25 10921977847 2010-05-12 21:27

Fixtures 13 May England v Sri Lanka / Match Odds / England Back 1.88 108.54 Won 95.52

Take my $4.78 commission out and I now have a profit $199.28

If Australia win tonight against the Paki's, they will be short priced favourites to win the final so England will be well over even money. If I put the lot on the Poms and they win, I would just about have enough for a nice new camera lens that I have been eyeing off.

C'mon ya Pommie bastards!!!!!

If they lose, I can still wind all the English chappies up about how useless their clicket team is.

A win/win situation
