Yes thats right folks, i'm in love,.............:adult:,....with the North of Thailand that is . While it looks to me like the Thais also love it,...cause they're trying to "Fuckit" ,:wallbash:,i just want to admire it and leave it alone. I dont want to wrap it all up in plastic for future preservation ( which is the only reason i can attribute to the thais obsession with throwing plastic bags all over their beautiful countryside ).
Truly, the longer i stay here the more i like it. The northern ( Lanna) style of living is so much nicer than the south. The people seem friendlier and their houses reflect a more earthy jungle style of living. Not so much brick and concrete,...lots of timber and jungle.
Ideally if i could, i would spend the high season in Chiang Mai and the low season in Phuket...6 and 6...months that is. heres some pics.
This is the Sunday Night market down the center of the Old City in CM. It is huge and go for a few Km's and spreads left and right wherever it can.

Just another temple in CM. I followed these two all around the grounds and into the temple itself hoping i might bestow my Buddha like charm upon them......however i got bounced by 2 burly security guards in orange robes who kept chanting,....getthefuckouttaherepervert..getthefuc kouttaherepervert.

I had to do a visa run up to Mae Sai on the Burmese border , on the way we came across the Temple of the Revelation with 3 statues of Phra Winston, Babba Jonny and Sri Figjam,.....you figure which is which

We took a very spectacular mountain road the last 30 k's to Mae Sai. We were advised against it by some thai cops who said if anything happened they would be unable to protect us ( we had hired a car for the day, so we were not on the regular tourist trail ) My friends thai GF was shitting herself. At the beginning and end of the mountain rd there is an armed thai army checkpoint. But the views down to Mae Sai were worth the risk.

That is the border in the distance. Mae Sai is very popular with Thai chicks as it is shopping heaven. They can get all kinds of trinkets and foods and bugs to eat at very low prices.

There were tons of people coming and going and a surprising number of lovely looking girls going back and forth.....sorry none of them were in the nude though.

On the Burmese side there is also an even more fevered shopping experience, adding Viagra ciggies and all manner of contrabanned to the shopping cart,...number 85 here also said i could have her 18yo sister for an hour and a half for $10us.
