Only 52 as well, never forget him and Beefy back in 1981 battering the Aussies all over Headingley.

Sad loss.

This has come as a shock, I think whatever killed him came on quickly.

He was a bit of a ladies man from what I know, and one of his sons played professional rugby.

Good bowler, and quick when he got it right. He was certainly rated within the game as a coach, and played a part at Loughborough, where all the current plans for the success of English cricket are hatched.

Yep. That was the match where Rod Marsh had a small wager on the poms to win on the last day.:seesaw:

Sad loss. Far too young.

Who was it said "He runs in like Dennis Lillee, and bowls like Dennis Thatcher?":dogrun:

I'm gutted to see this news. I will never forget his batting in the Bothams Ashes Headingly game. Kents fastest ever bowler as well. Remember watching him at our local ground Mote Cricket club. RIP.
